Club Nintendo’s last Platinum and Gold status gifts revealed

As Nintendo announced earlier this year, Club Nintendo is on its way out. The program was introduced as a way of rewarding players for buying Nintendo games and hardware, taking surveys and filling out intent to purchase forms. Users received all manner of gifts and rewards over the duration of the club’s existence.

Every year, if you earn enough coins, you can move into Gold and, eventually, Platinum status. Then, Nintendo would reward that extra work in spending with gifts either digital or physical.

Just like 2014, the 2015 gifts are entirely digital. It’s a docket of games for Gold and Platinum members, and the selection is actually pretty solid.

Here’s what’s only available to Platinum members.

  • Mario Party: Island Tour for Nintendo 3DS
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2 for Nintendo 3DS
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf for Nintendo 3DS
  • Mario Golf: World Tour for Nintendo 3DS
  • Mario Kart 7 for Nintendo 3DS
  • Yoshi’s New Island for Nintendo 3DS
  • Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for Wii U
  • NES Remix 2 for Wii U
  • Punch-Out!! for Wii U
  • Pushmo World for Wii U
  • Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii U
  • Ultimate NES Remix for Nintendo 3DS

Here’s what’s available for both Platinum and Gold members.

  • Crashmo for Nintendo 3DS
  • Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive! for Nintendo 3DS
  • Pushmo for Nintendo 3DS
  • Super Mario Bros. 3 for Nintendo 3DS
  • Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for Nintendo 3DS
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages for Nintendo 3DS
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons for Nintendo 3DS
  • Mysterious Murasame Castle for Nintendo 3DS
  • Advance Wars for Wii U
  • The Legend of Zelda for Wii U
  • Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga for Wii U
  • Metroid Fusion for Wii U
  • Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels for Wii U
  • Super Mario Kart for Wii U
  • WarioWare Inc.: Mega Microgames! for Wii U
  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 for Wii U

If you’re in the Platinum tier, I can easily recommend Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Mario Kart 7 and Mario Golf: World Tour. Gold members? You’re in my boat. I’m probably going with Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, but that’s only because I don’t have it on my Wii U yet.

What do you think of this year’s rewards? Lame or cool?
