Samsung’s Galaxy A series offers high-end design and mid-range specs, giving the company a chance to experiment with new ideas for its flagship phones. Now it looks like that lineup could be getting three new entries, starting with a 5.7-inch Galaxy A8 phablet. According to SamMobile and its inside sources the Galaxy A8 could be a pretty decent device, though it may only be available in China.
The rumored phablet will apparently pack a 5.7-inch 1080p display, a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 3,050mAh battery and LTE support. It could be just 5.9mm thin (compared to the 6.8mm Galaxy S6) and weigh in at 140 grams. If Samsung can get the price right the Galaxy A8 could be a pretty exciting device, offering a well-designed at a budget-friendly price.
Based on recent trademarks we’re also expect a smaller A6 and slightly larger A9, but for now those are still more of a mystery. Hopefully we’ll learn more soon, though we’re not expecting a big announcement for any of these mid-range phones.
