A major update for the HTC One M9 is rolling out now, and it should address a lot of the complaints that were recognized in early reviews. The update started in Taiwan a few weeks ago, HTC said, but is now rolling out in EMEA and will hit the United States within a month.
HTC said its engineers worked to make a lot of changes to the camera performance. You should expect improved auto-exposure balance to prevent washed out images, less blur and noise in low light situations, and a reduction of green and yellow hues noted in some lighting conditions, HTC explained in an email to TechnoBuffalo.
HTC also made tweaks to the battery life so that the phone will last longer while folks are browsing YouTube and Facebook, and improved the smart charging thermals so that the M9 doesn’t get as hot while charging.
Check your device if you live in the EMEA. If you’re in the United States, the update should hit in the coming weeks.
