Samsung’s smartphones are already pretty thin, but a new leak suggests that it’s working on building the thinnest smartphone it has ever made. Photos of the alleged Samsung Galaxy A8 surfaced recently, and show a device that reportedly measures just 5.9mm thick.
Nowhereelse.fr published photos of the A8 recently, and also provided some specs on the still unannounced smartphone. The device, otherwise known as the SM-A8000, reportedly packs a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, a 16-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot along with a 3,050mAh battery. The processor is relatively underpowered, at least compared to today’s flagships, but the rest of those specs are pretty compelling for a really thin package.
There’s still no word on when the Galaxy A8 will launch, how much it will cost or where it will be available.
