Samsung’s Galaxy A series is all about pushing the company’s smartphone design to new heights. So it’s no surprise that the Galaxy A8 is a real looker. Still, we didn’t expect it to be quite this sleek.
A leaked render of the new phone from tech tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer shows the Galaxy A8 in all its glory. The device takes some clear influence from the Galaxy S6 with its metal frame and rounded edges. But the back of the device also features a subtle curve that should feel comfortable in your hands. It also gets thinner near the bottom as you move away from the rear camera.
Based on multiple leaks we’re expecting the Galaxy A8 to be just 5.94mm thick, making it Samsung’s slimmest smartphone ever. It should also come equipped with a 5.7-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 processor, a 3500mAh battery, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel camera up front.
Rumor has it Samsung will finally unveil the device next week on July 15. The Galaxy A8 could go on sale in China a couple of days later for roughly $485. Plans for a U.S. launch are still unclear, but hopefully it doesn’t take to long for the device to arrive in America. We can’t wait to get our hands on this mid-range beauty.
