Samsung on Monday introduced a new monitor that has built in functions capable of charging your phone wirelessly. Simply drop your phone on a special area of the base just below the display and your phone will begin to juice itself up. An LED on the monitor will glow to confirm power is being provided to your smartphone, too.
The SE370 monitor will be sold in two SKUs, one with a 23.6-inch display and a second with a 27-inch monitor. The base of the monitor uses Qi wireless charging, which means it doesn’t appear to be compatible with PMA devices as well. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were two of the first smartphones to support both standards, though plenty of other devices us Qi, too.
The SE370 offers an OLS panel with a 178-degree viewing angle, brightness up to 300 cd/m2, a 4ms response time, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution.
Samsung didn’t provide a release date or pricing for the SE370 monitors.
